In your face Brisbane street photography with the Voigtlander

It was another random wednesday out on the streets of Brisbane this week as I embarked on a little street photography.  However, this week was going to be a little different in terms of how I wanted to shoot.  I decided that this week I would take the Olympus OM-D E-M5 out with the 17.5mm Voigtlander lens set to about f/4 and manually focused between about 50cm and 90cm (I changed this slightly most times I shot).  This meant that I had to shoot up and close to whatever or whoever I was going to shoot.  I also wanted to play around with over em

Random Wednesday in Brisbane City

Brisbane city cycles on the streets

I always try to get out for a short street shoot when I get a free moment and wednesdays seem to be my favourite day in Brisbane city as there is always something random happening mid week.  The city markets are always great to pick up a few delicacies and take a couple of photos while there is always something else happening nearby.  Today there was an awesome surprise marriage proposal that took place in King George Square just outside city hall.  There was a flash mob, a scottish band, cheer leaders and the masked proposer - a fairly awesome event.  I have inc

Mexicans in Brisbane

I am now finally back in Brisbane for a while and have mostly recovered from the recent travel and festivities of christmas and the new year.  While the postings have slowed over the last few weeks I have a lot of postings to catch up on.  I have had time to play with the new Panasonic GH3 and have also been playing with open source software for photo management and/or editing.  The following photos are taken with the Olympus OM-D E-M5 on the streets of Brisbane.  I generally shoot the streets at least once a week.
