Xiamen in 24hrs

Xiamen, China

Recently I had the opportunty to spend just under 24hrs in Xiamen while transiting between cities.  While it was raining during most of my visit here - it was still an exciting place to visit.  For those who love to shop - there is no end of shopping opportunities here, though for those of you that liek to explore the many lanes, back streets and local wet markets there is a new adventure on each corner.  The latter is perhaps where I spent most of my time.  I also had a quick visit to Gulangyu Island which is a short 5min very ride from the mainland.  It is a place known for its beautiful beaches and winding lanes/roads.  Given the rainy conditions this was a great opportunity to shoot with the Olympus OM-D E-M5 and panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 lens.  I ended up a little wet (and the camera) during my walks through Xiamen, but I had a lot of fun.  During the evening when the rain had eased off a little I used the Voigtlander 17.5mm.
